to trim or not to trim

So, I bought these shoes off the colette.fr website, and they've arrived and are **spectacular**, however I didn't expect there to be quite this much FUR! To trim, or not to trim, that is the question... considering taking a bit 'off the sides' to make the point a bit more defined.  Thoughts guys?!
