aroma festival

Not a sight you see everyday. Harbour bridge & camels!

The feet of Jax and Byrnesy with his infamous green shoes.

If only I were this cute and co-ordinated!

Thuy's fabulous GOLD bag!

So, these are long overdue. Photos from Sydney's aroma festival a number of weekends back, a celebration of all things coffee, chocolate and spices (yuuuum!). A beautiful warm winter's day on one of the best harbours in the world!

guerilla knitting

So, last weekend I was wondering around Newtown with Steve, in search of the perfect sign for his photography homework, when we stumbled across this:

All photos by Stevie

I was instantly reminded of this book I bought last year on Street Art. One of my fave things in there was this concept of guerilla knitting, specifically the work by Knitta where a bunch of renegade knitters began covering public property in colourfully knitted swathes. Since then, its grown as a concept, and there are many artists out there, doing the same thing worldwide. This gem is by Grrl+dog who is based in Newtown and just the other day covered the public loos in Taylor Square in yellow wool. I made Stevie take multiple photos specifically so I could blog it. I don't think he could understand how incredibly excited I was to see it...!

august

Hello hello, its been ages since I've attempted blogging. I've been living the busy life following Stevie around on his not so "chilled out" adventures! At the moment I'm nursing a sore arm and a sore neck.

I had an exciting package arrive in the mail last week from complex geometries! Pictures to follow eventually when I get the time to try them on properly and give them a bit of a whirl! I got myself the giant square hoodie in black, and split square tee in black! Woo!
