Warriors used eagle feathers in their battle dress to summon the courage, strength and qualities associated with the eagle, and eagle feathers decorated shields, spears, other weapons and personal clothing.

While there is a lot of variety among the meanings that can be represented by a feather tattoo they are not the only meanings that they may have.
